TEMPLE OF THE SHOGUN

"Temple of the Shogun" was  massively inspired from my childhood feudal Japan game and anime Sam Showdown / Rurouni kenshin.

I wanted to create that lush forest, deep greens and the path that leads the eye to the temple at the distance.

Majority of the assets are from megascans but modified the look and textures using mixer, same goes to the tree trunk, Torii gate and statues.

The dragon statue was from Newside, which I then brought to mixer and modified the look of it and then applied the megascan moss atlas through vertex painting.

I also purchased the Shogun model and brought it to Mixamo, extracted the rig and posed him in the scene as I felt the entire composition needed a subject.

The Shogun model was designed for realtime engine and since I was using Corona render, I just re worked the shader and positioned it in a way that compliments the entire image.
